Human Factors In Safety

Human Factors in Safety brings systems engineering and human factors perspectives to safety engineering. It covers system modeling, models and theories of accidents, hazard analyses, human error, designing for safety, regulations and standards, as well as safety management practices. It is a good class for systems engineers to gain practical knowledge for engineering safe and effective systems. It also covers topics that are generally applicable to all areas of engineering. It will be helpful to have some experience with probability and logic for the class, but these are not strict prerequisites.
