Multiculturalism In Engr

In this course, students will gain a better understanding of how diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), accessibility, and multiculturalism intersects with and informs engineering fields. Using VT’s Principles of Community along with VT’s DEI initiatives, students will engage with and respond to various scenarios, discussion prompts, and case studies about DEI in engineering. Students will develop strategies for identifying opportunities that will allow them to plan engineering designs with DEI initiatives in mind and will develop the language and consideration necessary to implement such designs.
