Explores the requirements, design, organization, and management of large data analytics (“Big Data”) projects, including architecture of data analytics systems, roles of Data Scientists and Data Analytics Project Managers, tools and methods for conducting data analytics research, and data governance, security, curation, privacy, and legal issues. Includes review of case studies from social media, government, and industry, definitions and concepts, and communication requirements.
