Introduces the concepts of electrode potential, double layer theory, surface charge, and electrode thermodynamics and kinetics. These concepts are applied to subjects that include corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement, energy conversion, batteries and fuel cells, electro-catalysis, electroanalysis, electrochemical industrial processes, and sustainability.
