Continuous and discrete time mathematical concepts and tools important to electrical and computer engineers. Transform techniques using Fourier series, Fourier transforms, Laplace transforms, sampling theory, and z-transform. Linear algebra using eigen expansions, polynomial functions, matrices, and determinants. Random variables using probability density and distribution functions, functions of a random variable, and conditional and joint probabilities. Not for CPE-MS, EE-MS, CPE-PhD, or EE-PhD credit. May be taken for CPE-MEng or EE-MEng credit. Pre: Graduate Standing. Master of Engineering (MEng) and Industry Cohort students only.
