Course Information

This course is an introduction to the design and behavior of prestressed concrete elements. It covers prestressing materials and concepts, working stress analysis and design for flexure, strength analysis and design for flexure, prestress losses, design for shear, composite prestressed beams, continuous prestressed beams, prestressed concrete systems concepts, load balancing, and slab design.

Prerequisites

CE 3300 or equivalent.
